Ian Foster clears the air - a two hour interview is clearly a lot for the great man, who lightheartedly grumbles the whole way through. He doesn’t have a kind word for anyone in the media, apart from his ghostwriter (who disagreed with him them agreed with him, so that’s all good), or recognise that as All Black coach people might be interested in what he has to say. So it’s valuable to actually hear from him in what’s likely to be a rare occurrence. He clearly cares deeply about his family and the people in his team, maybe if we’d seen a bit more of that through his reign things wouldn’t have gone so pear shaped [Between Two Beers]
