Apologies for 24 hour delay team.
G’day. Stu.
Yes it’s really me.
You might remember me from the All Blacks, the rugby commentary and that bit in the 90’s when I was on the telly all the time. Fun times! For me.
You might be wondering why I’ve been in the fishing aisle since Tuesday.
You might also be wondering why I have an air bed. And that fan. And the dog. I brought all that into the shop by the way.
The thing is, my air conditioning is buggered. Buggered. You tell me. One minute I’m parked up on the couch catching up on Bake Off, the next minute I’m hotter than a two day lay over in Singapore when you’ve got a lifetime ban from Raffles. Not my fault that.
It’s too warm. I tried everything. Put the Winter Olympics on and just kind of sat close to the screen. The fridge beeps when you leave it open. I read one of my books.
Nothing worked.
So I thought ‘Stu, what about your mates at Rebel Sport?’ They have air con. They have clothing that facilitates air flow. They have flooring that’s cool to the touch.
They probably won’t mind if I stay a few days. I’d stay out of the way. I’d look after the place at night. If anyone needs advice on buying shorts or mouthguards - I’m your guy! The guys could say ‘Let’s ask Stu!’, and I’d emerge from the Hockey aisle. People would freak. Definitely.
This would be the only Rebel Sport with a former All Black living inside.
I’m happy to contribute. On my departure, I’d probably look to purchase a clearance Canterbury training jersey and some Power Bars.
Don’t worry, I’ll be out of here as soon as the AC is fixed. I’ll send you an invoice for all the stuff I’ve sold! Ha! Just joking. If you wouldn’t mind re-stocking the blue Powerade that would be just fantastic.
Thanks for reading - Richard
