NEWSDESK: Auckland man has incredible content lined up for junior cricket team talks
Sport Review #178
BREAKING: Auckland man Mike ‘Personal’ Protector has used the time in lockdown to create a comprehensive team talk programme for the East Bend Cricket Club Under 9 Dragons.
Drawing on lessons of cricket history, rules and humour and aspirational values, Protector is certain he’s designed a programme that will inspire the Dragons to greatness.
“The kids are going to be pumped. I’m sure these chats I’ve put together will bring the team together. And stop them picking daisies.”
Protector was bullish when challenged on nine year olds’ fickle attention span, saying he had full confidence in his content calendar. “When the girls and boys see the way I’ve woven themes from Richard Hadlee Brisbane 95 with Anthony Robbins’ TED Talk in week 7, their little faces will light up. That’ll be a tough day for City Park CC Tractors.”
Tractors parents told Sport Review the alarm bells went off when Protector asked for a 90 minute team talk window team WhatsApp. “Not even Paw Patrol gets that cut through. Mike is trying. But he will fail.”
Protector is currently working through logistics of running an extension cord the 140 metres to the juniors area to facilitate a television and multimedia element.
